چکیده
Abstract The present study reports on the adsorptive removal of heavy metals (Cr3+, Cd2+, and Cu2+) from water by a series Lycium barbarum branch-based adsorbents: branch (denoted as LB), fungal fermented LB (FLB), biochar (LBB), FLB (FLBB), alkaline modified LBB (ALBB), FLBB (AFLBB). six adsorbents were characterized in terms FTIR, SEM, surface area pore size well zeta potential. potential these was tested under varying conditions – pH, contact time, initial concentration, temperature. Adsorption results fitted with Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin models. maximum adsorption capacity (qm) calculated to be 6.29 mg/g for Cr3+ FLB, 11.53 Cd2+ LB, 7.27 Cu2+ LB. pseudo-second-order kinetic equation better described process. Based thermodynamics parameters, endothermic but not spontaneous biochars. experimental offer new way recycling reutilizing wastewater treatment.

Study on adsorption characteristics of biochar on heavy metals in soil
−Three kinds of biochars (called poplar branch biochar (PBC), water hyacinth biochar (WHC), and corn straw biochar (CSC)) were prepared in a fixed-bed pyrolyzer at different pyrolysis temperature of 300-700 C. The effects of biochar species, pyrolysis temperature and biochar addition on adsorption characteristics of typical heavy metals (HMs) of Pb and Zn in vegetable soil (collected from lead-...
متن کاملadsorption of heavy metals by salvinia biomass and agricultural residues
batch adsorption experiments were performed to study adsorption potential of agricultural residues viz. rice straw, wheat straw and salvinia plant biomass for removal of heavy metals such as cr, ni, and cd. plant materials were used in different combinations. heavy metal removal efficiency was more at low metal concentration (35 mg/l). salvinia biomass possessed higher efficiency for removing h...

15 صفحه اولAdsorption of heavy metals by EPS of activated sludge.
Extracellular polymeric substances (EPSs) were extracted by high-speed centrifugation at 20,000 G for 30 min from an activated sludge treating municipal wastewater. Each gram of sludge, as measured in volatile suspended solids (VSS), contained 7.3 mg of EPS, including 6.5 mg of protein (EPSp) and 0.8 mg of carbohydrate (EPSc). The EPSp had a mean MW of 2.0 x 105; about 18% of EPSp had MW over 5...
متن کاملRemoval of heavy metals from aqueous solution by sawdust adsorption.
The adsorption of lead, cadmium and nicel from aqueous solution by sawdust of walnut was investigated. The effect of contact time, initial metal ion concentration and temperature on metal ions removal has been studied. The equilibrium time was found to be of the order of 60 min. Kinetics fit pseudo first-order, second-order and intraparticle diffusion models, hence adsorption rate constants wer...
